Up for auction is a Wings of Texaco 1939 Beechcraft D17S Staggerwing limited edition black chrome die-cast bank. The plane was on display out of box in an enclosed glass case and is in excellent condition. Includes original packaging and a certificate of authenticity.
Purchased by Texaco in October 1941, the Staggerwing was a five-seat, equal span, single bay biplane. Its nickname “Staggerwing” comes from the trademark, sleek back-staggered wings.
This diecast bank is the 12th in the “Wings of Texaco” series. It has a wingspan of 12 inches and measures about 10.5 inches from nose to tail.
