I realize a wide body look isn’t what everyone likes. I didn’t build this car to sell, I built it to my own tastes. My idea was to build a carbon fiber, widebody speedster version of the Z3. The fender flares, F1 mirrors and hard shell speedster tonneau are all carbon fiber along with carbon fiber trim on the door handles, windshield frame and roll bars. The interior is also trimmed in thick carbon fiber adhesive panels with a new steering wheel that matches the trim. I added a 5″ touchscreen with a reverse activated backup camera. The wheels are factory 16″ 5 spoke BMW rims with 2.5″ spacers to make them fit with the fender flares. I fabricated my own axle- back dual exhaust with twin tips on each side and a high flow muffler. It has the dual over head cam 1.9L with new alternator, radiator, water pump, thermostat and new silicone hoses. I installed a new secondary throttle body, throttle position sensor and idle air flow sensor. This little sports car starts right up and runs PERFECT. The engine just purrs and the exhaust system gives it the perfect rumble. It’s got cold AC and all the power works. The top is in very nice condition. The only problem with the entire car is that the rear curtain was ripped when I bought the car. I bought a new one but the zipper that holds the curtain in was messed up so I installed it with 4″ wide convertible top repair strips. It doesn’t really matter to me though because I keep the top down and the car garaged. A new top for this car with a curtain is as low as $200. Included in this auction is a Mikuni 4 carb setup. This is a no reserve auction so the highest bidder gets the car and Mikuni setup. The car is not inspected simply because I have been focusing on other projects. I just want to add that the original rear view power mirrors come with the car. Also I installed an antenna delete plug where the factory antenna goes and installed a windshield antenna with a signal booster. I do just want to be clear that the carbon fiber parts I mention in the ad are finished with a carbon fiber look. They are not actual carbon fiber.
